RADIESSE®

Radiesse® is Calcium Hydroxylapatite, which is a dermal filler used to correct volume loss and deep lines.  Radiesse stimulates your natural collagen which plumps the skin and gives you a more fresh-faced look.

After consultation and assessment, photos are taken, and skin is cleansed and possibly marked with a pencil for injections sites. Some areas receive a topical numbing and other areas an injectable numbing. Dermal filler is then administered by needle or cannula (a blunt tip catheter) in the desired area. Some massaging might be necessary by the consultant. When home, it is recommended that the patient not massage the area or engage in vigorous activity the day of treatment. If a bruise is present, sunscreen should be worn, and arnica can be applied. Skin should be kept clean (wash with mild soap) for at least 6 hours. A follow up appointment is advised 2 weeks after treatment.

Some swelling, redness, and bruising is possible immediately following the procedure, though this will be temporary. Most patients can resume their normal activities right away without issue. There are other rare risks that we would discuss at your visit when we see you here at Skin Boss. There are a few things to keep in mind as you are recovering and enjoying the results:

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
• Avoid extreme heat and cold exposures.
• Use sunscreen to protect your skin when outside.
• Avoid strenuous exercise immediately after your appointment.
• Apply a cold compress to the area as needed to reduce swelling and help with pain.

These products are great for all skin types and ethnicities. However, please note that these products are not for pregnant or breastfeeding moms or those with allergies to lidocaine.

Radiesse® is a great option for healthy individuals looking for volume replacement and enhancement. This treatment is not suitable for pregnant or lactating patients.
