Forever Young BBL is drawn to the unwanted melanin in the skin, such as browns and reds. Added benefits of having a Forever Young BBL treatment are destruction of broken capillaries, reduction in pores size, clarity to skin, texture and glow. Any area of concern on your body can be treated with Forever Young BBL. However, the most commonly treated areas are the ones that are the most exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight. This includes the face, neck, back of the hands, chest, shoulders, arms and legs.

During the actual procedure at Skin Boss, your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. You may briefly feel a warm or quick snapping sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. Your procedure will typically take up to 30 minutes or less. Forever Young BBL reaches deep into the cell and activates certain genes associated with youth, while turning off other genes tied to aging. As a result, you create more of the kinds of proteins and other building blocks that you had when you were younger. New skin cells are actually programmed to be younger, giving you beautiful, youthful skin. This is a non-invasive procedure with virtually no down time. In most cases, you are able to return to work, apply makeup and resume normal activities immediately after the treatment. You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions, you will see a darkening of the treated area, followed by fading and flaking off about 2 weeks later. These symptoms should typically last for two to four hours following the procedure. Additionally, mild pain relievers such as Ibuprofen, Aleve, Advil, Tylenol or Motrin can be taken. You may notice brown patches or spots within two to three days after the procedure, eventually becoming even darker and more scaly in texture. After a week or two, these dark patches will fall off on their own, leaving in their place newer, healthier skin. It is extremely important to not pick or scrub at these spots. It is important to avoid direct sun exposure following the treatment. In order to protect your results, the daily use of sunblock of at least SPF 30 is highly recommended.

While adverse reactions to the Forever Young BBL laser treatment are rare, in some cases, you may experience a variety of side effects including: blistering, scabbing, scarring, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation and/or bruising. Skin Boss thrives from doing combination therapies. As little as one Forever Young BBL treatment will show significant results, however, we want our patients to continue to see long lasting results with their overall skin health. After receiving your Forever Young BBL treatment, your skin will feel smoother, pores will be less noticeable, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments and the area treated. As long as our patients are on a maintenance plan at Skin Boss, they should continue to see results forever. Keep in mind that regular treatments, at least once a year, have been proven to stop the aging process, allowing patients to look younger than they did when they started treatment 10 years prior.

At Skin Boss, everyone that is a skin type 1-5 would be a wonderful candidate. We feel that anyone exposed to the sun frequently would not be a good candidate for BBL. Pregnant patients cannot receive this service, as well as patients who have a skin condition called Melasma (hormonal imbalance that can affect the skin).
