Reverse by Aerolase® is a dual-laser treatment combining Neo Elite® and Era Elite® in the same session. Neo Elite® uses FDA-cleared 650-microsecond Nd:YAG technology to work deeper within the skin, targeting redness, pigmentation, acne, vascular concerns, and signs of aging. Era Elite® uses FDA-cleared 300-microsecond Er:YAG technology to resurface the skin and improve fine lines, texture, sun damage, pigmentation, and other surface irregularities. Together, the two technologies deliver rejuvenation at both deeper and surface levels in a single treatment.

Reverse by Aerolase® is ideal for patients looking to tackle multiple signs of skin aging or damage within one treatment, rather than addressing each concern separately. Depending on your treatment plan, Reverse may help improve:

Reverse may be a great option for patients who want to address multiple signs of skin aging or damage at once, rather than treating concerns such as pigmentation, redness, texture, or fine lines individually. Your Skin Boss provider will evaluate your skin, concerns, medical history, and goals to determine whether Reverse is the right fit for you.

How much downtime should I expect after this treatment?

Downtime varies depending on your skin and treatment intensity. Most patients experience approximately 5 to 7 days of healing and peeling, though full healing can take 5 to 10 days in some cases. Patients with more significant sun damage or those receiving a more intensive treatment may experience a longer recovery.

During the first 24 hours, the skin typically appears red or sunburned. The skin will then begin to feel tight before peeling begins. Once peeling starts, do not scrub, pick, or pull at the skin; allow it to roll away naturally during cleansing.

Every Reverse by Aerolase® treatment at Skin Boss Med Spa includes post-care products to support your skin throughout the healing process:

• Epionce® Gentle Foaming Cleanser
• Avène Cicalfate
• Avène Thermal Spring Water
• EXO|E Repair Serum

Your provider will review your specific post-treatment instructions before you leave. Only the recommended post-care products should be used for a minimum of five days, or for as long as directed by your provider.

Reverse is generally well-tolerated, and topical numbing is not required. During treatment, a medical-grade cooling device is used to help minimize heat and keep you comfortable throughout the procedure.

A Reverse treatment typically takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the areas being treated and your treatment plan.

At Skin Boss Med Spa, we recommend Reverse at least once per year as part of a skin maintenance plan. Your provider may recommend a different schedule based on your skin concerns, goals, and treatment history.

Many patients begin noticing smoother, clearer, and more refreshed skin as the healing and peeling process is completed. Because Reverse also supports collagen remodeling, improvements in overall skin quality may continue to develop after treatment. Results and timelines vary by individual.

For at least the first five days, or longer if directed by your provider, use only the post-care products recommended by Skin Boss Med Spa. Do not exfoliate, scrub, pick, or pull at peeling skin. Avoid reintroducing active skincare products until your provider confirms it is safe to do so.
